Privacy Policy

Vokko Display is a desktop application for previewing video and audio from capture cards and similar devices. We designed it to process media on your computer. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the app and this website (https://vokko.io).

Vokko Display does not require an account. We do not operate a cloud service that receives your camera feed, microphone audio, or capture-card content. Video and audio stay on your device unless you deliberately share them elsewhere (for example, by streaming or recording with other software).

We do not sell personal information. We do not use the app to build advertising profiles or track you across other apps and websites.

The app saves preferences locally so your choices persist between sessions. This may include, for example:

• Selected video and audio input devices
• Volume, mute, and monitor settings
• Resolution and low-latency preferences
• Sidebar, theme, and display options

On Windows, settings are typically stored under your user profile (for example, in Application Data). On macOS, they are stored under Library/Application Support. On Linux, location depends on your distribution and configuration. You can remove this data by uninstalling the app and deleting its configuration folder if you wish.

To list and use capture hardware, Vokko Display requests access through your operating system:

• Camera — required to show video from your capture card or camera-class device.
• Microphone — required when you choose an audio input (for example HDMI audio from a capture card).

On macOS, the system shows Apple's permission dialog the first time access is needed. You can change permissions later in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera or Microphone. On Windows, use Settings → Privacy & security. The app only uses these permissions while you have selected devices and the app is running.

If you visit https://vokko.io, standard web hosting may log technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages requested. We use this only to operate and protect the site (for example, delivery, security, and troubleshooting). We do not use the marketing site to access your capture devices.

First-time installers are only offered from https://download.vokko.io. The desktop app checks https://updates.vokko.io for updates when you launch it; it does not download updates from other domains.

Vokko Display is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app or this website.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the app or website after changes means you accept the updated policy.
